Certified Emission Reductions (CERs)

Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) are carbon credits or carbon offsets issued by the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Executive Board for emission reductions achieved by CDM projects and verified by a DOE (Designated Operational Entity) under the rules of the Kyoto Protocol.

Annex 1 countries and businesses can use CERs in order to comply with their emission limitation targets or by operators of installations covered by the European Union Emission Trading Scheme (EU ETS) for the purpose of reducing their net carbon footprint.

Carbon 350 is able to aggregate, structure and negotiate CER transactions to appease any buyer’s requirements from 20,000 tons to 20 million tons, from PDD to Verification, across most project types and methodologies and of course geographic areas.
